Releasing a major update 2 weeks before everyone goes on vacation. This has nothing to do with my specific problems with SU4.

In general, deadlines right before vacations are avoided if possible. Especially in a customer based industry like this. Businesss atleast take some time of, customers however are more active during vacation periods.
