Version: 1.7.6
Frequency: Consistently
Severity: High/Blocker
Marketplace package name: if applicable
Context: While testing the new prop rpm limiter
Bug description: Propeller RPM limiter will prevent the propeller to go into reverse thrust.
Repro steps:
Fly the default C208, land (or in the air ) and apply full reverse, watch the new limiter debug window, notice propeller never goes into the negative pitch.
NOTE that on the ground while stopped reveres works ! The issue is when the aircraft is moving at speeds.

Hello @CaptainBalu0
Using the RPM limiter based on the propeller pitch angle governor is likely to require some review of the blade drag and lift configuration.
That’s being done on the C208 and CL415 where the blade configuration was too approximative and needed to be modified substantially.
You’re likely going to have to do the same if you use this on your own aircraft.
Edit: leaving the “reviewing” state as I’d like to make sure addressing this on C208 and CL415 does not reveal any underlying issue. I’ll update this thread when I have more info to share.
Regards,
Sylvain

If I may give a suggestion, when reverse prop is commanded , flip the PID output of the limiter to negative as well so is counters RPM with negative pitch, that should solve the issue even with not optimal blade configurations.
