Hello @DA40CGDFQ

This is by design as PNG files are more optimized and we need to remain consistent with the Khronos exporter.

Could you explain why you need to use TIFF files instead of PNG files?

This is just a workflow from 2020, and the DA62 has tiff images. So …

I figured that images are compressed so that was the reason, but no real info on this was presented. PNG it is then.

Boris,

The SDK indicates in areas such as decals, that .TIF has to be used. It is safe to assume that is no longer the case then?

Thanks,

Zach

Hey @ZachB

This page will be updated as .tif are not a requirement. You can also use png.

Thank you for reporting this

@Boris - does this apply to jpg images too. They are changed to png on export? Does it matter.

@DA40CGDFQ
jpg are not converted to png as it’s supported (unlike tiff).
