SU6 crash on opening aircraft project

Bug description:

Sometimes, somehow, my aircraft project becomes corrupted and it starts crashing the simulator whenever I try to open it from devmode. I click File->Open recent, click project name and it ends in CTD 100% of time. I can fix it by deleting the generated “Packages” folder, which lets the sim to load the project again (now marked “outdated” in Project Editor). Project works fine afterwards, so it’s not a major showstopper.

I’ve experienced this issue in the past, but it was gone in SU5 and SU5.1. Now it reappeared in SU6, so it may be related to those recent changes to project loading.

We have detected something similar on our side, happening with the Da62 SDK sample.
The issue is tracked.

Unfortunately it’s still crashing sometimes. I can’t figure out what’s exactly causing this, but I think it’s related to having some modified files in the Packages folder.

Another fix candidate was deployed with SU6 Beta 1.8.11.0.
Can you confirm it resolves the issue for you as well?
