Context: Loaded 2020 project into 2024, Rectangle with heightmap not working as expected, seems not to apply falloff correctly
Bug description: Falloff seems to be ignored on FS2024. Terraforming that worked on 2020 does not work on 2024. Polygons with terraforming and rectangles seem messed up
Repro steps:. Load Scenery into 2020 community, observe terraforming
@milosanxx What are the falloff values for this one? Could also be that your heightmap is based in older elevation data which may have changed in MSFS2024. But that of course only makes sense if your falloff values are rather short.
I always found falloffs caused problems when doing this scenery, kept it to minimum. (1)? I even have long bush tracks with multiple rectangles joined together.
I cant recall and not helpful for a 2020 to 2024 folder throw in, but can these rectangles be moved up in altitude and still keep their form?
Heightmaps always have been a bit of a mystery. A falloff value that works somewhere doesn’t necessarily work somewhere else and vice versa. Let’s hope that things improved in the next build?
