The S key is forced to be used to focus on nearby aircraft

Hi Asobo,

Bug description: I can’t find a way to remove the S assignment from the keyboard. I found this is internally locked. And is being used to focus on nearby aircraft. I would like to change the key because the S key is used for moving back in most games in the industry. For example, W= forward, S= back, A=left and D= right. So, every time I try to use these standard keys, I am forced to use the X for back and it’s hard to reach. X would be good for the focus. Hope this makes sense.

To me this is considered a bug if you can’t change it. Or let me know if you can. So far it does not show up anywhere in the assignments.

You seem to be describing the “smart camera” feature.
Check the corresponding control settings:

This is mapped to S if you are using the 2020 transversal profile.

Hi @FlyingRaccoon,

That fixed it. I think the previous version it would not show all the S assignments for the keyboard when I clicked the Search By Input. Because trust me I tried to find anything with the S and it just did not exist. But now you can search it and it came right up. I swapped the S and the X and this is so much better. I suggest you make the X the default. My 2 cents!
