Whenever I try to draw a polygon, here’s what happens: I click “Add”, hold my Ctrl key down, put the red cross somewhere, left click and start drawing a red line. That’s all I can do. No further left click will do anything. The red line just sticks to my mouse and can’t put a second anchor. I’ve tried releasing Ctrl key then holding it down again, nothing works. I’ve read it is sometimes due to the Ctrl key not being bound to the “sparse selection” command, but my keyboard is set on “2024 Transversal” and the binding is well set. I checked. Any ideas?
I’ve seen this issue with placing painted lines. Sometimes switching the camera fixes the problem. The only solution that works for me is closing the project, backing out to the main menu and starting again.
Have you tried both control keys? I don’t believe my right side control key works. Has to be my left side.
I’ve tried to switch cameras. No luck.
Sorry to answer so late, my microsoft connection interface got stuck. It wouldn’t let me type in my credentials.
Yes, I tried both Ctrl keys. None works. It’s very strange that I seem to be the only one to have this problem and can’t solve it.
It happens to me with painted lines so randomly, that I suspect that the issue will be hard to replicate and fix by Asobo. Like I said, just save the scenery, build all, close the project and back out to the main menu. Then restart the editing process. If that doesn’t help, you and I may be talking about a different tissue. I’ve seen my issue occur in both 2020 and 2024 DM.

I had this problem and put it right by switching from my custom keyboard control setup to the default MSFS 2024 (Transversal) keyboard setup.
After that I created duplicate of the Default, which also works. I then changed some of the keyboard settings to my preference as they were in my custom setup and still no problem! although I haven’t changed all of them back yet and therefore don’t know exactly which key causes the problem when you have changed it to a custom command.

Thank you for your reply, but my keyboard is already set on “2024 Transversal” and it doesn’t work. I’ve tried to make a copy as you say, still doesn’t work. Still that weird behavior and only for polygons. Mouse clicks with the Ctrl key apparently work everywhere else.
