Unable to set manifold pressure in SU4

This approach worked in 2020 and 2024SU3. I will re-test it in SU4, but do you see any reason for us to switch to 100Hz updates or Anim_Code_Template?

It’s worth testing, it would be interesting to see if there are other similar cases.

I cant do that because idle and low power settings will now be inaccurate.

How so, you are still writing your own manifold pressure anyway, no?
Just to clarify if this wasn’t clear enough, I am not talking about removing your simvar writing.
Just to have the base sim configuration be closer to what you are trying to converge towards with your own logic.

As this is now “by_design”, does this mean we get and official method to perform these actions?

By Design means that, for now, this is the expected behavior following all the changes made compared to MSFS 2020, changes that cannot be reverted, and where I cannot other mitigations than the ones I have suggested above.
Now, that doesn’t mean the topic is closed. I will keep forwarding your concerns, keep an eye on how many products are impacted by this.
Exposing a better way to do what you tried to do here is under discussion, but nothing short term.

Sebastian recommended a “manifold pressure time constant”. I can set that to 0 and that would basically pause the in game calculations.
