I’m trying to fix the river =) There are a number of problems. 1. The river
has two different types of water. River and Water, so you have to create two
polygons, excluding each water type. (Desired Outcome: One polygon excluding
all water types with low layer priority (order)) 2. Because the polygon has
excluded two types, then they cannot be reused, because water will not appear.
There is no way to set the order for the polygon 3. If you draw a polygon
with the same type of water over the water, the water is inverted. Everything
that was water will become dry land and vice versa (strange feature) 4.
Artifacts appear at the junction of two types of water. There are many places
in the world where this is manifested. 5. There is no way to level the water.
Of course, you can use a polygon over the water, but then all the islands will
become smooth, there is no Exclude Terraforming functionality 6. The end
result is this. I do not understand where the artifacts in the form of stripes
on the water came from and what to do with
them?
Are the line artifacts at the edge of the polygons? If so, extending the
polygon a fair distance over that line should blend the water together. Also,
I agree with the fact that the water replacement process needs to be tweaked a
bit. An exclude all types of water poly would simplify things. We also really
need the ability to be able to place (for example) river water over default
river water, as opposed to needing to fill in gaps with another water type. As
Mugz pointed out above, the different water types not only have different
waves, but also the environmental sounds change which can break immersion a
little.
line artifact not at the edge on polygon. Poly overlap all river. Lines appear
for some unknown reason. There are no polygon edges at this location.
