What's the purpose of the new (?) exterior/interior light channels?

Hi! I guess most of us will know the problem of lights placed in the interior of a scenery object illuminating the surrounding area even through walls etc. See here where the lights placed inside a tower illuminate the area underneath it:

I have seen in the light settings that there seem to be new “light channels” - though the SDK documentation doesn’t mention them at all. Untagging “exterior” just makes the lights disappear completely.

Are there new developments to this topic?

Hi, I have some information. But yes, it would be really great if this feature was added for buildings.
