WISH LIST: Outlinable Centerlines

We can now outline our PaintedLine objects with a black background. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I would like to be able to do the same with the centerlines/enhanced centerlines created from the Taxiway Path objects.

I’m currently overlaying the Taxiway Path objects with a Default-style PaintedLine object that has the Outline parameter set to “Line”. To me, this unnecessarily doubles the number of .XML lines for each taxiway.
I don’t have a similar workaround for enhanced centerlines, though, and they’re the lines that need outlining the most.

EDIT: Just noticed the Enhanced Center painted line object, so I’ll be able to do the workaround for the enhanced centerlines as well. (I still want to be able to do this with the taxiway path objects, though.)

+1 on this. I’m in the same situation. I thought the new outlined painted lines would be my saviour but unfortunately not due to the taxiway paths still not being outlinable.

Until Asobo gets around to finishing the basic functions that should have been in version 1.0.0 of the SDK, you’ll have to leave your taxiway path objects with “Centerline” and “Enhanced Centerline” un-checked, then place PaintedLine objects over the taxiway path objects - “Default” line style for regular taxiways and “Enhanced Center” line style for enhanced centerline taxiways. Then go in and change the Outline parameter for each PaintedLine object to “Line”.

NOTE: If the PaintedLine anchor point is too close to another object’s anchor point, the Outline will not completely draw (at least on my computer that’s what happens.) Moving one or the other object’s anchor points down the path a bit resolves this glitch.
