Hi @FlyingRaccoon,

I wanted to include more info on this bug, because it’s not that it can’t rename but it can write the name at all. It’s a sever bug and needs attention. I just hand write my nodes for now. Please read below for my bug report!

There is more to the story. If you create the nodes from scratch using the SimObject Editor it will not write the name for the node in the cfg file and if you reload the SimObject Editor it will say the node is missing.

Conclusion:
Saving a node does not write the name. This must be fixed. The only way to create nodes is to hand write them. Once you do that then you can update all other info and not lose the node when you reload the SimObject Editor.

And the original bug reported is also true based on this bug.

Example when using the SimObject Editor to create the node all info shows up except the name seen in the image.

And additional issue is when selecting the Show Gizmo and moving the gizmo around in the sim and then clicking save, this will save the data here on the SimObject Editor but not on the actual cfg file. But if you move the blue sliders then you see the star * appear it then saves to both the Editor and the cfg file.

For now, I single click one of the sliders then I can use the Gizmo and it updates both. Would be nice if you select the Gizmo it adds the Star * telling the Editor to update the cfg file without having to touch the sliders.

Same issue for Rotation. Except there is no slider. I have to type something first to add the star * then I can continue to use the Gizmo.
