I think since the last update using the Standard Quality shader for the 3ds
max viewport is causing clipping when 1 mesh hovers over another mesh with the
same material. The work around is to use the High Quality shader when using
the MS material. Hope to hear some feedback if this can be fixed. But not a
major priority since High Quality works.
Hello @Flysimware Can you check if disabling transparency in the “Materials”
and “Active Viewport Settings” submenus solves the issue?

Hi @FlyingRaccoon Yes this fixed the issue. I now open each viewport disable
the visibility using either option and it adds a new option called user
defined. Then you re save the ‘MaxStart’ 3ds scene and you always have this
option included when opening 3ds max. I never seen this last year so this must
be a new 3ds max change and was not an Asobo issue. So thanks for clearing
this up.
