Aircraft capture tool is actually more a Bug capture tool

Version: 1.36.2.0

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Low

Context: Aircraft capture tool

Editing camera settings just does nothing or even worst it’s quite random the behavior. If you try to change the camera settings nothing happens while the Capture Aircraft tool is open but sometimes if you exit and enter back the hangar than some changes are applied but again you cannot change them again in the edit camera. If you change the camera to an internal one than back to an external one the camera is stuck in the internal view. If you change the camera settings and you enter back the hangar than the standard view is changed using the latest Aircraft Capture view settings even if the tool is closed
I understand why no one is actually using it

Hello @erasam

I did some testing with this tool on 1.37.19.0 and was unable to replicate the issues you reported.
I was able to create both cockpit and external shots, switch between them, edit camera settings and switch between tool and hangar context without any side effects.

The only issue I encountered was the X/Y/Z axis sometimes being odd depending on the selected camera type.

If you are still facing issues with this tool on the current build, please update this post with more detailed repro steps or possibly a video demonstrating the problem.

Regards,
Sylvain

Just try to change the camera type from Thumbnail to Pilot then back to Thumbnail: the camera is stuck in the internal Pilot view

When in Thumbnail camera type try to change any of the parameter available when you pulldown Edit camera

I am unable to replicate this. Camera always switches back to thumbnail for me.
Does the problem occur with Asobo planes as well?

Sylvain

Hi. it is the same with Asobo planes as well.
It’s really strange as for me the issue happens always

Do you have any other non Asobo package installed in your Community and Official directories?

Yes, I have plenty of them

Hello

Can you please temporarily disable any non Asobo package except yours and check if the problem still occurs?

Sylvain
