A couple of issues and would like some information. Issue 1 We are using
alt_mode_slot_index=2 or alt_mode_slot_index=3 because alt_mode_slot_index=1
will slowly drift off the captured value when near mountain top with updrafts
or dondrafts. Issue 2 VS mode will take the alerter value from the
AUTOPILOT ALTITUDE LOCK VAR and set it to the AUTOPILOT ALTITUDE LOCK VAR:3 if
you have the cfg alt_mode_slot_index=3 being used. But if you use IAS or
pitch mode and once AUTOPILOT ALTITUDE LOCK is enabled because you are near
the alerter value AUTOPILOT ALTITUDE LOCK VAR:3 is not getting updated. So why
is VS only working?
We have found the same issue in our testing.
In addition to this, if in Autopilot Avionics Managed mode and FLC mode is
engaged, engaging Altitude Hold will not hold the desired altitude, as if
alt_mode_slot_index is not being regarded.
