Hello @OnshoreSkate773

This is fixed in SU2 beta.
Buildings are removed on runways and along taxiway path.
The building in your second picture will still be present though, as you do not have actual taxiway path leading to those spots.
In this case, I’m afraid the only option is to add a building exclusion shape in your 2020 package to prevent this building from spawning in 2024.

Sylvain

Hello @FlyingRaccoon , great to hear the runway and taxiways buildings have an SU2 fix - thankyou to the team.
I issued updates with building excludes to the individual market place packages months ago.
Am baffled why the second picture would not be fixed - pretty sure there are taxiways to those parking spots and even if there weren’t why would correct AI placement need a taxiway ?
Perhaps this explains why in this same package and all my others that I’ve had to remove additional false AI buildings from windsocks, other buildings , other misc areas.

It’s not a big issue to exclude them (except that they are part of a larger list of 2024 quirks ) but it’s unfortunate that the core issue with AI building placement is not being addressed if a taxiway or runway is required.

We didn’t see any. We assumed it’s because there are scenery aircraft there and you didn’t want AI aircraft to taxi to those parking spots.

It’s a tradeoff.
Buildings were too invasive in the first versions, we adjusted the cursor and added criterions for some to be removed.
But if the removal is too aggressive, we would lose too many buildings on generic airports that are in spots that make sense.

Regards,
Sylvain

Ok thanks @FlyingRaccoon for that information- would believe your debug over my two year old memory on the taxiway, lol.

So going forward will expect some compromised AI buildings at airports other than runway and taxiways. Again, it’s not a big deal to exclude false AI buildings , although it would be great if any backward steps like this are documented in the SDK so Devs can look for them and understand the dependence on taxiways.
