Bug description:
Receive Bad Request (400) Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. Try again or return to the homepage.
Repro steps:

  1. Go to the Home page.

  2. Enter an ICAO (Ex: KMDW) and press ENTER. The “Airports” page is displayed.

  3. Delete the characters for the chosen airport.

  4. Click the “Contributors” drop-down. Enter the first few characters of the Contributor’s username until you see the Contributor you want. Highlight the desired Contributor.

  5. Click “Apply”. A screen listing all the Contributor’s airports is displayed.

  6. Click one of the airports (in this case, 2P2). A screen showing the comments for that airport is displayed.

  7. Click the browser’s “Back” arrow. The “Bad Request” message is displayed.

Hey,
I’m having trouble reproducing this. I’m using Brave browser, but regardless, I’m not able to follow the steps.

  1. Load Latest Submissions page. I assume this is the “Latest contributions” page.
  2. Click on a non-Microsoft user’s submission. Right now, there are only two, and one of them is mine. So I’ll click on the other one, which brings me to this page.
  3. Delete the characters for the airport selected. On this page, I don’t know where to delete the characters for the airport selected. Is there an interim step missing? Do you want us to click the blue link going to the airport, e.g. this?
  4. Click the “Contributors” drop-down. Enter the first few characters of the Contributor’s username. Select one of the Contributors listed to display all airports done by that Contributor. Assuming that I’m on the right page, should we hit the blue “Apply” button before clicking back"?

I could not get this “Bad Request” error message to show up. I can try it in Edge, but first, I wanted to see if I got the steps right.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like something is missing. I will be able to take another look at this in a couple hours or so and report back.

OK, I’ve edited the procedure to get to the “Bad Request” message. (edited original Bug Report above). This one should get you there.

Hello there,

Thanks for the precise report ! We have proceed to do some groundwork update recently (not really visible for end users) and some stuff might have been impacted, like the issue you reported.

We deployed a fix and should behave properly now thanks to the information provided.

Thank you! I’m not getting the error anymore when I try the repro steps. How about you, CurrentFoil3744?

Yes. Had tried it this morning and did not see the problem, but wasn’t sure I was remembering the steps correctly to make sure I was reproducing the trigger. I think I was, though, especially after @SherifLucas’ note and your confirmation, @N316TS. Yay! Another one down!
