Blender exporter no longer finds LODs in subcollections

Version: exporter 1.3.2

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: High

Bug description: The 2020 exporter objects tab, reload LODs button worked fine when having multiple models in a file, neatly sorted into a hierarchy with one collection for each model and subcollections for each LOD.

  • The 2024 exporter reload LODs button in the best case fails to find the LODs and in the worst case just seemingly randomly shows a few of the collections in the objects tab.
  • It also seems to have a max number of collections it will read?
  • This makes it very inconvenient to have multiple models in the same blender file as the collections layout gets very chaotic.

This worked fine in the 2020 exporter:

The 2024 exporter gives this result: (it fails to find the subcollection LODs and only lists half the top level collections as it seems to have a maximum limit?)

What the 2024 exporter currently does: (as you can see it fails to find the subcollection LODs

Hello,

This should be fixed in the current blender MSFS2024 exporter plugin 2.3.1.
Can you confirm ?

As far as I can tell, the current version is exporter 1.3.2 from SDK 1.1.2.
I am running in blender 3.6.14.

It is exhibiting the problematic behavior for me, failing to recognize the LODs.
