Bushtrip (Mission) Cold Start - Chocks around the wheels are not removable

Version: 1.2.7.0

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Blocker

Marketplace package name: not applicable

Context: At startup of a flight

Similar MSFS 2020 issue: Not a problem.

Bug description:

When you create a Bushtrip (Mission) with a Cold Start as the initial condition, you are put in the Cockpit but the Chocks (Stop Block in front and back of the wheels) are still there.

Even if you walk outside, you have no way of removing them, and you are stuck there, no way to move.

Solution:

    1. On a cold start for a Mission or Bushtrip remove the Shocks, and any cover preventing the move,
    1. Or set the same condition of a cold start in Free flight.

Repro steps:
Create a Bushtrip with Cold Start (Engine ot Running, Power off), as the initial Condition

I have seen this and my solution for now is escape the flight and resume or restart. Sometimes it helps and I can do all, but sometimes I can remove only one block and not the engine or pivot covers. Next escape and restart the flight. But this is not a real solution.
The pins however are visible.

As we discussed with BuffyGC on the BTI Discord, changing, in the [Sim.0} section of the FLT file, the entry “SimFile from apron.flt to ApronWithoutCovers.flt”, remove everything, and let you fly. It is a good bypass until the problem is resolved

Hello @FsxRwt

What aircraft was your bush trip mission using?
I tested with a Da62 sample bush trip but could not replicate the problem.

Sylvain

I just reproduced the problem with the Bonanza G36, The Bushtrip was created using the BTI tool (BustripInjector).

By the way BTI has now an option to replace the default value and thus bypass the problem.

Can you please provide us with that bushtrip?

Here it is.

Hello @FsxRwt

If your bushtrip uses apron.flt, having covers and chocks on Asobo aircraft is the expected behavior and as you mentioned, you should use apronwithoutcovers.flt instead if you don’t want that.

Now, I tested your bushtrip and I can remove the chocks.
Were you close enough when you tried? (Interactions are disabled beyond a certain distance)

Not sure what could explain the problem otherwise.

Sylvain

To tell the truth I am not very good at walking around the plane to remove these, so it is probably my problem. And as usual i have not found any doc in MSFS how to do this. Anyway, I should not be put in the aircraft, by default, if the aircraft is not ready to roll.

Thanks for taking the time to test this. It is much appreciated.
