Bug description: I cannot select ‘Pre-release packages’ or ‘Accept’ from the launch screen. No buttons on controller give any input, neither does Keyboard/Mouse. So the screen can’t get past 0% loading.
I works for me when I connect a mouse on the Xbox, but it’s still a bit annoying having to do that, it would be nice if we could use the gamepad to choose the package version, or if at least the menu would timeout with a default choice, so it would continue loading.
Yes, of course, I saw Xbox I assumed the console. In fact, I can confirm it didn’t work for me over Xbox Cloud either, but it worked on a real Xbox, with a mouse attached.
@Boris Are there any plans to revisit this for SU3? It’s useful to be able to test our products, especially the Xbox versions, using the Xbox Cloud gaming system.
I too have this issue, any work around or fix? I am unable to use MSFS 2024 via cloud gaming (including testing) because of this. Even with an Xbox controller connected, the issue persists.
@Boris are there any updates to this? On my Xbox X using a controller, I am unable to enter the game at all for testing. This issue has been present on SU3 and SU4.
@Boris Will this make SU5 at some point please? We, and many other devs, cannot release our products on XBOX becuause of this which is really frustrating…
If you plug in a mouse in your XBOX, you can select what you need a move on.. you do not need to wait for the bug fix to continue your developing progress.. simple as connecting a mouse will get you there, is what we all being doing so far.
There is no way to plug in a mouse to a cloud, is there? And testing with XBOX Cloud worked fine in 2020 so I see no reason why it shouldn’t in 2024. And in addition to that this should have been fixed in SU2 of 2024 as reported in a post above and it still isn’t fixed 3 SUs later.
I test with a XBOX Console, and if it works there, I flag the product ready to release.
Although I understand your bug report, and it is valid, I am trying to give you ways to continue and deploy your product, this should not prevent you from testing and marking a product ready to release, if you know it works for XBOX and in the future on a PS4 console, you pretty safe to release it.
Xcloud is pretty much the same as an xbox console.
We don’t have a physical XBOX to test with so without testing it on cloud I don’t know if it works on XBOX. If I had an XBOX I obviously wouldn’t have to test it via XBOX cloud… And since it worked on 2020, and using XBOX cloud to test our products was suggested to me by my marketplace team, ot’s even more frustrating.
In addition to that, now that our 2024 native product is out on the 2024 Marketplace for PC, but XBOX isn’t because I can’t release it before I test it, the 2020 version has disappeared from the 2024 XBOX Marketplace because apparently you can’t sell a 2024 native version on PC and a 2020 native version on XBOX at the same time. This means we are losing even more revenue because of this bug.
And thanks for the tip of buying an XBOX, but spending 350€ is not a workaround for a bug. Especially since it worked in 2020. (and in addition to that even if that was the only way I simply can’t afford one at the moment…)
We have not received any update regarding the addition of keyboard and mouse support on XCloud yet.
That said, we are trying to resolve this on our side by adding gamepad support for the ImGui repository selection dialog. We are aiming for SU5 and I will update this thread when the fix is available.
