Career Mode Issues: Incorrect rewards, flaps penalties, runway crossings, and inoperative airspeed indicators

I am incredibly frustrated with the current state of Career Mode in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Since its release, these issues have remained unresolved, and for a game that comes with such a high price tag, this is extremely disappointing. Here are the main problems I’ve encountered:

  1. Incorrect rewards: Despite achieving top grades (like S or A), the credits rewarded for missions are significantly lower than promised. This makes progression feel unfair and frustrating.

  2. Flaps penalties: The simulator applies penalties for exceeding speed limits with flaps even when the aircraft is stationary or taxiing. This issue has been persistent and ruins the gameplay immersion.

  3. Runway crossings: Taxi instructions frequently direct the aircraft to cross active runways, leading to performance penalties even though I’m following the instructions provided.

  4. Inoperative airspeed indicators: In some aircraft, the airspeed indicator remains stuck at 0 throughout the entire flight, making it impossible to calculate critical speeds for takeoff and landing. This is not acceptable for a flight simulator of this caliber.

It’s deeply disappointing that such fundamental bugs have not been addressed since the game’s release. Given the premium cost of this simulator, I expect a far higher level of quality and responsiveness from the developers. These issues are ruining what should be an enjoyable and immersive experience.

I am deeply frustrated with the current state of Career Mode in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This issue severely impacts the motivation to engage with and invest time in this game mode. Here are the specific details of the problem:

  1. Severely Reduced Rewards:

    • After completing a mission with an S-Rank (100% performance) and investing more than 1.5 hours of gameplay, the simulator shows that I should receive 6,400 credits as a reward.
    • However, upon completion, I only received 830 credits, which is an unjustified and unacceptable reduction.
  2. Impact on Gameplay Experience:

    • This issue is not only frustrating but also deeply demotivating. The time and effort invested are not adequately rewarded, leaving me feeling as though my efforts were wasted. As a player, this undermines the core appeal of Career Mode.
  3. Evidence Provided:

    • Attached screenshots clearly demonstrate the discrepancy between the indicated reward and the final payout:
      • Image 1: Shows the detailed reward breakdown (base rewards, bonuses, and deductions) and the final result of just 830 credits.
      • Image 2: Displays the perfect mission performance with an S-Rank and 100% achievement in all areas, making the payout even more unjustified.

Player Frustration:

Spending more than 1.5 hours on a mission, achieving a perfect performance, and receiving such a drastically reduced reward is unacceptable for a simulator of this caliber. This kind of issue seriously affects the experience and motivation to continue engaging with Career Mode. Given the premium price of the game, I expected a much more polished product and better attention to detail.

Request:

Please address this issue urgently. The community needs this type of problem resolved, as it is ruining a core part of the simulator experience. I hope for a response and a fix in an upcoming patch.
