CTD with modular hydraulics system editor

Version: 1.1.10.0

Frequency: Frequently

Severity: Low

Bug description:
When editing a native MSFS 2024 project using SimObject editor (SYSTEMS tab), I cannot use the Modular Hydraulics System editor for a long time. After few seconds, the sim will crash.
Same issue happens in the menu and in flight.

Hello @R-AzurPoly

Can you elaborate on what you are doing exactly?
Do you have the issue if you edit the Da62 sample hydraulics system?
If not, can you please provide us with a full dump file or a devmode project that triggers the crash so we can investigate?

Regards,
Sylvain

Hello @FlyingRaccoon,
I can confirm the same happens with DA62 sample.

  • Open the DA62 project.
  • Open SimObject editor, select Function_Interior and go to Systems tab.
  • Go to modular hydraulics section and edit some fields.
  • Sim will freeze and crash.

How can I generate a dump file? I do not see any file in C:\Users[USER]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\RAIDumps.

Kind regards,
Romain

Hello @R-AzurPoly

I think this occurs when you hover the mouse above the Actuator assistance parameter:

There is a text formatting issue on its description that crashes the sim when the mouse hovers the parameter name (that’s when a tooltip with the param description shows up)
Let me know if that matches what you are witnessing or if there are other instances.

Do you have the RAI archive generation enabled in the top right menu?
If so, it should open a dialog to generate an archive with a dump when you restart the sim after the crash.

@FlyingRaccoon You are right, it seems that “Assistance” text is the culprit.
Can you fix this please?

Thanks!
