Bug description: Objects with Decal material do not show up, and are invisible. All decal objects from FS2020 are invisible. Making NEW objects with decal material the new SDK in 3dsmax, still shows invisible material.
After reviewing the SDK, there is a new decal “object” but zero instructions on how to create them in 3dsmax, just on how to place them in sim.
This still poses a huge dilemna, we have a LOT of decal objects in our airports, and they are currently not rendering. We need support to display legacy decals.
Repro steps: Apply decal material to any object. Insert object as scenery.
Could be related to what I posted here? Problems with textures in general and hard to find out what’s required to get them working on projected meshes when making a new build:
The issue still persists. Native MSFS 2024 objects, exported and compiled with the latest SDK do not appear if they are decal material.
This also applies to any MSFS 2020 objects with the decal material.
