I have found that once you enable DLSS4 in the Nvidia app using the DLSS override option, the aircraft capture tool freezes the sim as soon as you load it. It doesn’t cause a CTD, but the system becomes totally unresponsive and you have to use task manager to terminate it.
As you may know MSFS 2024 does not officially support DLSS4 yet.
There are tricks to activate it that some players have been using (sometimes claiming that “since it is as easy as swapping DLLs Asobo should do it” 
), but as you found out it is not exactly that simple.
We will check this issue before releasing an update that officially supports DLSS4.
