Has this been reported? I use nodes for my landing, taxi and other lights. And they are either facing the wrong direction or not showing. I also have a animated landing light and it’s facing up but will not move with the animation. So there is a ton wrong with the backwards compatibility for 2020 aircraft external lights.
I assume if a developer used the coordinates in the systems.cfg and did not use a mesh node to align the lights position and orientation they are working properly. Because FSR confirmed his lights work and he used the coordinates. I use the mesh nodes and they do not work.
Can confirm, aircraft lights are NOT visible during the day whatsoever, at night they are visible but in wrong directions. Happening with every aircraft in the sim. This needs to be addressed.
Our testing showed that if we add the .dds file extension as mentioned in this post, the light direction was fixed. Per Asobo, this was unintended and should be resolved in a future update.
This is an issue with every single aircraft in the sim right now. Aircraft lights are not visible in day time and all of the lights are facing wrong directions. Any updates on this @EPellissier?
BTW Momo, yes I can confirm beacon bleeding into cockpit on the L35A
Not every aircraft. Devs that did not use a node to align the light seem to work. This was confirmed from FSR. All his 2020 aircraft lights on the exterior work correctly.
That is something I think Asobo will not fix. And that is because the dev should already write logic to have a emissive value for LCD screens. So an easy fix on our end.
Can i mark this thread as fixed or does Asobo do this?
