Reading the SDK specifically this section: Commercial Flights And Passengers
It is clear we can only call passengers using the onboard ATC system, might I request that this can be extended to a system event?
There are multiple 3rd party tools out there (ATC tools and others) which would benefit from this, for an instance, someone using VATSIM ATC services would not be using the onboard ATC tool and still would like to perform a call to bring the Passenger or VIP.
There are like 100 other case scenarios, for example, I call cars from my custom EFB and UI panels, and it would be cool if my customers could just call the Passengers… You have also other 3rd party tools like volanta, SkyPark, NeoFly, etc, etc. that can call the event and bring the passengers.
Current implementation seems too restrictive in a way that only can be called from ATC rather than a system event we could just implement and decide to use at any time, there is a lot of work required to put the PAX system in place, so it would be ideal to ensure it can be used by many other things and being exposed much more widely that what it appears to be at the moment (core ATC, some small VIP airports don’t even have ATC… and career modes / activities).
If we can call then at will to board / de-board via a system event, it would ensure a much better success of this wonderful new system.
