One of my Xbox testers is reporting that large libraries of FS20 content (+300 addons), that have migrated automatically to FS24, is having a significant background RAM consumption on Xbox as aircraft information is being streamed and loaded into RAM unnecessarily.
Many users with large FS20 catalogs are requiring expanding their RAM Caches from 16GB(default) to 32GB (AFAIK not possible on Series S) to avoid the “red avatar” problem, and various other miscellaneous issues related to streaming content being stored in the ram cache unnecessarily.
Given the limited amount of Xbox RAM, it may be a better solution to allow Xbox users to manually disable/enable certain aircraft from streaming at all, to reduce the background memory consumption by UI components streaming, and ultimately improve the user experience.
