Bug description: G1000 Lighting having malfunctions and screen not responding to clicks on its surface. It should be a TTF screen. Cannot seem to get it to operate properly. Oddly, with lighting, certain times of the day, it goes bright. As I move the slider along on day time to night time, parts of the night, its bright, parts dark, same for day time. Its as though its not going by ‘local time’ but perhaps by GMT time. Could that be it? That for me would explain things.
And… I cannot click any of the various screen click tabs for radios and settings. Screen mouse shows up, that the screen is clickable, but nothing happens. Radio screen doesnt popup, EFICS screen doesnt react.

Repro steps:
Load up a flight in the LearFan, note the screen brightness. With AVionics knob at full, note if the G1000’s brighten up when you move the ‘time of day’ selector in Weather adjustments control window. Now move Avionics brightness knob to zero, do this again. Note that the G1000’s go bright half way through the night, and half way through the day, they go dark.

This is the code I was experimenting with. This is one of three, for the 3 G1000 units/screens.

This morning, testing this, I found the ‘touch interaction’ on the screens were functioning. Must have been a glitch last night. My apologies.

They ‘still have’ light issues… but the radio screens are working now.

Bill

Note, the lights are still dark during the day and bright at night on the G1000’s, but the clickzones on the screens are operating/working.

Bill

Closing this as duplicate since the instrument brightness issue is already being tracked through other bug reports.
