Heightmaps on TIN areas does not work

Context: Creating Heightmaps on areas with TINs leads to inconsistent results compared to what was modeled in the editor

Agree, this is a huge problem particularly as long as more and more cities getting the “TIN treatment”, which easily breaks existing addons. It’s still the same massive issue in MSFS2024:

Yes, this is a really frustrating issue. Particularly because the airport I’m working on has been given the TIN treatment long after it has been released, with customers righteously frustrated that taxiways etc. are suddenly quite bumpy as long as TIN is active. This problem remains to be the same in MSFS2024: Heightmap without TIN: [image] Heightmap with TIN: [image]
