I have created an airport with a runway & 2 helipads. If named the 2 helipads
“Helipad A” and “Helipad B” and confirmed the display name is set in the
airport XML, but on the world map, the names are still displayed as “H01” and
“H02”. Am I missing something? How can I get my names to display? Thanks.
To my knowledge this is not yet supported
I have also a more strange issue. For an helipad the airport name is not shown
in the world map, for another the name is shown
Hello, The purpose of naming TaxiwayParking/Heliport is only used in the
scenery editor to help you organize the elements. Regards, Boris
Hello @erasam , can you give me more informations
about this please ? Airport names / Screenshots … ? This is for a package you
made ? Thanks, Regards, Boris
Attached the Package Definition, the scenery definition and what is shown in
the map

@erasam Indeed, it seems that when we load an
airport project that it’s not present by default into the world map, the name
is not displayed. However, when we have the package in the community folder,
the name is displayed so the impact is only during the development process.
This will be investigated, Thanks for reporting, Regards, Boris
Thanks Boris, I have added an idea to allow this.
about Helipads. He’s doing the Vergiate airport which contains numerous
helicopter pads being managed by Leonardo Helicopters. I put all my helipads
down with names from H1 to H21 and then gave the relative Starts to each one.
In the laying phase, in the SDK, keeping the .xml open, the Start correctly
placed for me with the relative number of the elipad parking. But as soon as I
BUILD ALL or REBUILD he changes the Start association of the relative elipads.
example; my elipad H1 had the number 1 in the START line, then in the rebuild
it put it 21. This means that when the sim starts up, when I choose the pad,
the elipad is no longer consistent with the original position. Is there
anything I need to know about this? I also looked at the SDK doc but it
doesn’t say much. He puts the STARTS in order from 1 to n… however, he
changes the relative parking, as if he were doing a screenning of the scenario
by zigzagging through the various parking lots, if I put 5-6 in a row he puts
them right, if instead I distribute them a rectangle zig zaga between one and
the other. I think at this point it should be redefined by ASOBO? For example,
I would like the pitch I gave the name H1 to correspond to START number 1
Then if I rename the STARTs in the xml he gets very angry I think he is
following his own geographical logic to give the relative name Giampaolo

Hello, I managed to put the numbered positions of the helipads in their place.
I have 21 helipad stands numbered 1 to 21 at my airport. I let the SDK, in the
REBUILD, number the pitches according to its ramshackle order. Once the sim
has been restarted, I take note of the numbering present, enter the SDK and
only move the STARTS of the existing pads, to the pads where that number
actually goes in theory. So I managed to match the real heliport number with
the sim. Obviously the name of the pad given in the SDK is irrelevant to the
effects of the modification.
