This option within the sim is supposed to turn off the rendering of the cockpit and place the camera in the centre of the aircraft.
It’s not working. I see that this has been an issue for the last 3 years.
Could someone at ASOBO please implement this option?
This option has caused a lot of headache because it’s not performing as it should. Unfortunately, I tuned this option on without knowing what effect it could have and the result was that I couldn’t pan around the cockpit holding the right mouse button as I did previously. If I selected camera type = Fixed look the the panning was actually active and no way to turn it off. In my searching for answers I came across a suggestion to turn Home Cockpit Mode off and hey presto, I can control my planes again. It would certainly be advantageous for us simmers if the action of this option was corrected. Thanks Asobo!

This issue is very important to me. In fact, I logged a bug report in the regular forums, and they closed it as “won’t fix.” They’ve since reopened it, but it’s no longer tagged #bug-logged in those forums.
I wanted to offer an alternative to the forums: Zendesk. In the forums, the bug associated with my bug report is closed. But if you were to report it on Zendesk, someone would have to look at it and potentially open a new bug report.
I definitely invite you and @JVIceCool to vote for the above bug report that I created in the forums to give the issue more visibility, but ultimately, I think that the best chance for this bug to get squashed is Zendesk.
