I’ve looked at the FLT pages and some other resources, but I’m unclear how to create one in MSFS 2024. In 2020 to my understanding you setup your flight in the World Map, load in, then pause the sim and SAVE.
My only saving ability is from the EFB and when I do click the “Save to this PC” option the filetype that’s available is .PLN. The dialog says I can save .flt files, but that option doesn’t look available.
I don’t think it’s possible at the moment. They removed flight saving and loading.
But when you start a flight, the sim does generate a .FLT for the starting state. You can find it in: %appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\MISSIONS\Custom\CustomFlight
I would like to believe that as true, but the .pln generates an XML file. Simply changing the file extension to .flt still keeps the XML format and FLT files I’ve seen is usually in a key, value pair format.
