Inconsistent fuel flow

I have noticed a problem with piston aircraft that can easily be reproduced:
When the fuel selector is OFF and the fuel pump is turned ON, moving the throttle forward shows an increase in the fuel flow. I think it should not. As no fuel tank is selected, the fuel flow show remain 0.
The attached image shows how the bug can be reproduced with the Beech G36:

  • Battery ON
  • Fuel selector OFF
  • Mixture RICH
  • Fuel pump ON
  • Move throttle forward and you see a positive fuel flow
The image also shows the involved simvars, you can see fuel selected quantity is 0 and fuel flow is 13.63. I think this is inconsistent, it should be 0.

[EDIT] I could fix this by editing the code used for the fuel flow needle, but I think it would be better if it was handled by the sim

Just curious, could you say what you changed? panel.xml or something in the js files? What needle are you talking about.

I am talking about the fuel flow needle. I fact, there is not such needle in the G36 as shown on my screenshot, it is displayed on the main Garmin PFD.
What I modified is an add-on aircraft, the Lion heart Creations TB21 GT. It has a fuel flow needle that I fixed by changing the animation code in the interior model XML. I didn’t change anything in the Beech G36, I never change any Asobo standard aircraft.
