Joystick and keyboard inputs ignored in dev project mode with SU7?

After the SU7 update today, I was dismayed to find that if I had a project
open with the aircraft editor, my keyboard and joystick inputs did not have
any effect. For example, with the keyboard I could not go into pause mode with
escape or access the MSFS menu system. With the joystick, I could not use
buttons to change flaps, deploy speedbrakes, gear, etc, and using the joystick
I could not make maneuvers in any axis. Edit: I need to add that although the
mouse can be used to operate the autopilot in the cockpit view, the mouse
cannot be used to zoom or “free look” in the external view. Without the
joystick or the mouse working in external view, there is no way to change
views in external view. I have to back entirely out of the project to regain
joystick and keyboard control. Is there some menu option that I need to
change, or is this a new issue with SU7?

I have something similar. I am unable to select anything with a left click.
And one click placing isn’t working right, either.

Hi there, This is a known SU7 issue that has been fixed on our end. We will
get back to you as soon as we have an ETA for the fix. Apologies for this.
Best regards, Eric / Asobo

I’ll respond in the topic you created regarding this issue - I am not 100%
sure it is the same one yet (it is under investigation). Best regards, Eric /
Asobo

I know it isn’t ideal but until the fix is available you can regain
mouse/keyboard control by “collapsing” the Aircraft Editor window (i.e. click
on the little triangle on the left of “Aircraft Editor” in the window’s title
bar).

Please let us know if
this helps. Best regards, Eric / Asobo

The aircraft editor only allows me to hide the tab bar if I click on the
triangle. It does not collapse the window in the same manner that clicking on
triangle in the project editor window collapses that window. In any case, it
does not alter the issue. I have to actually close the aircraft editor window
to get normal mouse and joystick control back.

The workaround works for me to get my view control back, although I have to
keep the aircraft editor collapsed. Another thing is that after I build or
resynch, my screen gets plastered with all kinds of UI aids and hints that I
have turned off in my settings. These are very distracting and often block
what I am trying to look at.

Also, after a resync, I sometimes get a CTD if I try to open the weather
dialogue to change the time of day – necessary to test lighting effects.

Aircraft resynch is also painfully slow now.
