I would like to report a bug in the devmode debug aircraft speed and debug drag windows. This bug exists in 1.36.2.0, but I don’t know when it may have first appeared. The bug is that the drag and coefficient of drag shown in the debug aircraft speed window do not include the Mach drag. This is evident from the attached screenshot. Also, the correct total drag coefficient (Cd) is not shown in either the debug drag or aircraft speed windows. The drag coefficient shown in both debug windows does not include the Mach drag.
The severity is low since the sim still appears to be using the correct total drag, and the correct total drag is shown in the debug drag window. The issue is consistently repeatable.
A few comments on nomenclature used in the drag debug window:
- Mach drag is also an aerodynamic drag.
- In the second line, “Equivalenty” airspeed should be “Equivalent” airspeed (typo).
- In the “Target CD” line, is “wingledcd” supposed to be “wingletcd?”
