Marketplace content 2020 to 2024?

Hey Guys!

I’m receiving some questions from the customers but now I’m totally confused.
It was said that all marketplace content will be transferred to 2024. Is there anything we have to do to take it place like testing or any kind of approval?

To be hones I did not install the 2024 yet…

Thanks!

Anything a customer bought in the FS2020 marketplace will eventually be available in FS2024 (a pop up message will appear saying their FS2020 content is available). This only took about a day for me (once I eventually got into FS2024).

If the customer bought outside of the marketplace then they can simply copy the package to the FS2024 community folder and have it available for use (without having to stream the content either I might add)

Essentially anything the customer bought for FS2020 will be available to the customer in FS2024 whether it works properly or not.

I presume we, as developers, will need to check the compatibility with FS2024 and make any changes if you want to maintain compatibility between both sims. Or you may have to make an FS2024 only version if you cannot achieve cross platform compatibility (which might be a bigger problem for scenery developers than aircraft devs).

I’m not seeing any of my MSFS 2020 Deluxe or Premium Deluxe content in MSFS 2024, or any of my Famous Flyers++. Raised a support ticket, waiting.
Both games are using the same account.

I believe 2020 purchases are being enabled in phases. So far I have only heard one of my airports showing up for 2020 buyers. But I’ve seen other people having content from other devs like KMIA from LVFR or the PMDG planes bought in the marketplace.

In my library I have a couple aircraft I purchased like the Comanche, Cirrus vision.

Thanks for the info! So it means there is nothing is required from us developers to release the old content in MSFS2024, there is no gateway.

No sign off is required from our part for our content to appear in the library.

Sign off will be required if we want to sell the 2020 products in the 2024 marketplace, labeled as 2020, with no changes or adaptations made in the 2024 SDK.
