[MSFS 2024] Material Tools - Shift Standard Material parameters

There are 3DS Material Tools. One tool Shift Standard Material Channels. Could you add some context to this tool? What is a Standard Material - I assume it’s different from a MSFS standard material.

Can Diffuse and Specular somehow be used in MSFS 2024 (or 2020)? When and how would you use this tool?

I see that a wiper tool has been added to the Blender tool set, Would any of the other 3DS Material tools be used in a Blender context?
