Has something changed in the MSFS 2024 SimConnect SIMCONNECT_RECV_ID_QUIT message, as its behavior is inconsistent, most of the times the event has not been sent upon shutdown of simulator?
In MSFS 2020 it works just fine.
The sim seems to be crashing on shutdown most of the time on my end, that might be occurring before the quit event is sent.

I think @runshotgun may be right here - we’ve had a lot of “crashes on exit” fixed in the past few days so the next DevAlpha should improve on this aspect. I never realized that they could prevent SimConnect from sending its QUIT message - that makes fixing them even more important!
We’ll check if there are any other issues with sending this message through our test samples.

Thanks Eric, it sort of makes sense. What is odd is that sometimes the message sent upon shutdown would be: SIMCONNECT_RECV_ID_EXCEPTION, but I could not find an exact correlation. Maybe this helps.
