MSFS2020 aircraft - Smoke FX appears way darker in MSFS2024

Version: 1.0.72.0

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: High

Context:
AzurPoly BD-5J, Fouga Magister and TB-30 during free flight.

Bug description:
Several of our aircraft use a white smoke VFX, but the rendering is very different in FS2024 compared to FS2020. The smoke is way darker (almost black). This kind of VFX should be displayed the same in both simulators.

Repro steps:

  • Load the AzurPoly BD-5J (FS2020 package) inside FS2024 Community folder.
  • Launch a free flight and enable smoke system by using the switch inside the cockpit.

Effect on FS2020:

Same effect on FS2024:

Private attachments: Sending you our BD-5J package to reproduce, but I guess any aircraft having a white smoke effect would work.

Kind regards,
Romain
