Bug description:
Taxi lights does not illuminate the ground on MFS 2024 while it does on MFS 2020 (with the same package).
Switching light on or off will not change anything.
However, opening User Lights tool and touching any value of the Emitter section will suddenly make the effect work correctly.
Repro steps:
Load the AzurPoly OV-10 Bronco (FS2020 package) inside FS2024 Community folder.
Launch a free flight with low sun (night).
Enable taxi light (EXT LTS switch on left console).

Taxi light not illuminating the ground even though it is on:
If youre testing a 2020 legacy package (A 2020 aircraft built in 2020 and dragged in 2024’s community) it should work the same, as it is legacy.
If you are using the new 2024 SDK and doing an upgrade, then all .FX need to have their intensities and ranges checked. Asobo is now measuring this with the “Candella” measurement system. So all your lights will need to be updated.
Would help if you clarified that this is a backwards compatibility issue from an aircraft built using MSFS 2020 or a new upgrade project you’re building using 2024.
Hello,
After some research, adding texture file extension in the FX file is solving the issue.
File extension was not needed on FS2020 (apparently) but is now needed on FS2024.
Apologies for the late answer - as you found out adding the extension in the FX file solves the issue. However this was not intended and we have fixed this bug today on our development branch. I believe the fix will be part of an update scheduled to be released in December - but I don’t have a firm date yet.
