We currently don’t have the ability to cancel or edit an airport upload after it gets submitted and before it gets moderated. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and unfortunately, yesterday was the day this first became a problem for me.
Use case:
Yesterday, I submitted an airport. Shortly after I submitted it, I looked back at the airport and realized that I forgot to do something. It happens.
I don’t live in the same time zone as the moderators. For me, I have to wait a day for anything I submit to get checked. That’s not usually a problem, but in this case, with no ability to cancel or edit my submission until it got moderated, there was no way to correct my mistake. This also means that this is going to have to go through two submission cycles, wasting some moderator’s time.
To compound matters, we are right at the end of an AIRAC cycle. So, it is possible that my buggy submission is what gets published, and I have to wait another month for everyone to get the fix.
