Hi after the SU7 I lost the capability of placing gates with ground services,
they simply disappear, so I just can place gates and ramps without ground
services. Also, I am having problems placing jetways… they disappear after
placing them when I try to move them, I have to check/uncheck the shadow
option at properties every time I move the object. Can you anyone help me?
Hello @Toninomex , Do you have the same behavior with your other projects? I
wasn’t able to reproduce this issue on my side. Can you send me a sample of
your source package ? (You can select viewable by moderators in the dropdown
menu bellow the submit button) Regards, Boris
If I upload an existing project the previous parking spots do have ground
services at the scenery but not at the Dev mode, and of course if I want to
place a new parking spot I will not have ground service.
This scenery was created before the SU6 This is the behavior at the sim…
after SU6 As you can see there
are no ground services attached to the ramp
Hello @Toninomex , As long as you have your project opened and the related BGL
loaded, you will not see any airport services for the plane you spawned with.
The best way to test it is to build the package then put it in the community
folder and restart the sim Regarding the jetways problem you are experiencing,
it would be very helpful if you could send us a video of your problem and the
project you used. Best Regards, Boris
Thank you Boris. Yes, I understand that I won’t see any ground service while
the Dev mode is on and I am designing the airport. What I intend to show in
the pictures was that before the update, on the red circle space appeared the
ground services list associated with the parking type, and now, that “list” do
not appear (listing) nor the ground services once I export the package to the
community folder. I will try to record a video too.
I think I know what you mean. I just started picking up the SDK and based on
older versions of the SDK, each Parking has additional Ground Services under
Properties however in the latest SDK i can’t see those options either. I
assumed they just removed them. I started delving more into the Services
documentation of the Docs so i guess have to do it manually now.
Hello Boris I haven´t being able to record a movie for you as I don´t have any
plugin to record my screen. But I tried to add parking places and they do
appear at the scenery but without ground services… I don´t know what to do
Thank you for your answer… How do you place ground services individually?
Is there any way to assign parking spots to specific airlines code?
Hi @Toninomex , Since the update 0.15.0 of the sdk , as indicated in the
changelog: “The obsolete “Scripts” section of the TaxiwayParking properties is
no longer visible for the user”. Moreover, the edit button that was present on
this Scripts section was broken for almost a year. What was the purpose of
this scripts section for you? To customize the ground services you can use the
Airport Services
Regarding your last question, it is not possible to assign parking spots to
specific airline codes. PS: please use “Comment” Instead of “Write an answer”
it will be easier to follow the topic Regards, Boris
When you say “it is not possible to assign parking spots to specific airline
codes.” is it because the SDK ignores those options that used to be available
in FSX? In FSX, you could add a
airlineCodes="JBU,DAL,RPA,EGF"
card to a TaxiwayParking object to do that. Is this now ignored?
Hi, I’m new to scenery development using SDK v0.23.1. If I understand correctly the only way to get Ground Service is to create the appropriate XML files? Airport Services (flightsimulator.com)
I have the GA Ramp in place (various sizes), but the only option I have for ground service is pushback. According to the plane’s aircraft.cfg
I should also have a fuel truck and marshaller available.
No, you do not need a airport services file.
You need taxi paths with connected parking spots, and a vehicle parking spot connected to the taxi paths so the fuel truck has a place to spawn. And you only get a Fuel Service option if it’s a towered airport. This gives you the ability to call a fuel truck through ATC. If there’s no tower, there’s no ATC and therefore no Ground Services. Sadly. Thousands of airports have an FBO and no tower, with the ability to call for fuel. Well, maybe not thousands, but tons do…
I asked a long time ago that an “FBO” service be created as well, to take the place of a tower, just like at real airports that don’t have a tower but do have an FBO you can call (KCON for example, or KFIT now).
