North Sea wind turbines with white light

Hello dear support team.

I would like to add an MSFS add-on to MSFS24. I noticed that the wind turbines in the North Sea (e.g., the Butendiek wind farm) have white dot lights above them, see screenshot:

Typically, wind turbines do not have a white light, but rather a flashing red light.

I want to exclude these white lights, but unfortunately, the standard methods don’t work. To do this, I’ve added the appropriate settings to a polygon (Exclude street lights/Exclude feature points). Unfortunately, an exclusion rectangle doesn’t work either:

The white lights remain - they don’t disappear. This is true even though they should be gone with the polygon and the exclusion rectangle.

My question: is this a bug, or how do I exclude the white lights above the wind turbines?

Best Regards
Christian

Hi.

The coordinates for the Butendiek wind farm are:

Name: Butendiek Wind Farm
Lat 55.01961
Lon 7.799769

I’d like to know as well.

Yeah, the same in Portugal, all Wind Turbines have a white spot in MSFS24, while it is red flashing lights in reality. MSFS2020 was fixed, lights were already red. But this apparently changed with MSFS24

Genuine question for the developers, how is this issue still not fixed? Why do the lights have the correct colors in MSFS2020 but not in 2024? I work in the wind energy industry and these white lights really pisses me off.

Hello,

It’s fixed, in SU5 (currently in flighting).

Boris

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, someone pointed that out in the Discord server, thanks. But it’s not mentioned in the release notes right?

Indeed, it seems this was accidentally omitted from the release notes
