Noticeable Drop in Frame Rates when Plane is on Ground?

Hello Team Asobo, I hope you all had a great Christmas. I have been getting
customer complaints about frame rates dropping moderately when on the ground
in their planes. I noted this yesterday, testing a new plane which doesnt have
a full interior and graphics yet. It should be exceedinly high in frame rates,
but on the ground, it was stuttering bad. And I thought, I wonder if there is
a coding issue in the MSFS core platform going on. Once you lift off, its
fine. Very odd. This is on pavement/tarmac. I had thought most of my customers
had the issue on dirt, as the effect for dirt can be hard on some graphics
cards, but no. This is also on pavement runways. I wanted to share that and
see if you all have noticed this also. This is happening between 3 of my
planes, 2 are on sale, one is a prototype in development. Kind regards and a
blessed and amazing New Year, Bill Lionheart Creations

I remember an issue with ground effects like when on runway or dirt and grass
and if you has used the older setup the frames were super bad. And once I
updated to the new default coding all was good. I will contact you on the
think tank and have you send me your aircraft.cfg.

Removing the entire [Effects] section fixed it for us.

I experience this with the core planes too, and it seems to be worse when
there’s network connection issues.

Any framerate issue report really needs the details from the in-game FPS
tool. That immediately provides a huge clue which piece of MSFS is causing the
pain.

Keep an eye on your VRAM usage. since SU10 the sim is pretty good and manages
memory but does get stuck when someone sails in with a large livery and large
texture usage scenery with bad / no LODs and usage of textures. Then a user
will have there Object and ground levels of details turn way up and boom, 8GB+
gfx card out of memory and stutters start as it tries to use RAM space to swap
in out of.

which in-game FPS tool entry does that issue show up as?
