Object Insertion is WAY OFF from Original Point

Version: SU/AAU/WU XX - 1.XX.XX.X

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Low

Context: When adding most objects to a scenery

Bug description: Whenever I’m adding objects to the scene I will ctrl+click to add a new point or instance, but for some reason it will insert itself about 300 meters southwest of where I clicked. In the attached image I highlighted the green taxiway point. Then I clicked on the blue circle to add the next point, but it ended up where the red circle is. This happens about 80% of the time no matter what object I’m trying to add to the scene.

I’ve noticed this happening when there is a large slope over a long segment distance, almost as if parallax is effecting it. Also, would it have anything to do with lens correction settings in the graphics options?

I’m not aware of a lens correction setting. I can look into it.

I find that this happens when adding points to lines:

I don’t know if this is the same phenomenon.

I not only have this happen when inserting a point to a pre-existing taxiway path, but when adding a new TaxiwayPoint.

Typically this occurs when there are multiple objects already present inside of the airport.
