In the Caribbean, there is a tiny airport SVLB. As an exercise I closed the airport and deleted it’s attributes. I then created an airport with ICAO RHUMBA01. It compiles fine and you can place it in Community. But the sim has assigned the ICAO as N7Z8PZ for no good reason. I recompiled and replaced the package in Community, and it still is N7Z8PZ. We are supposed to have access to 8 characters for ICAO now, so what is happening? Is it the compiler or the sim itself changing the ICAO?

With a bit more testing, The ICAO ID accepts 6 characters, but 7 or 8 results in either the compiler or the sim assigning another ICAO.
Hi,
We have found the issue, there was an error in the code that read the ICAO from the BGL. You are right it was concerning ICAO idents with more than 6 characters.
The fix will be available in a future update.
