If I use the following parameters in Blender with the sample ParallaxWindow
object and PNG files, without the Behind Glass Color file specified, I get the
expected result at night with the emissive texture (I omitted the
Occlusion/Rough/Met and Normal textures but it’s the same with or without):
If I load some other PNG file,
for some PNG files I get purple and for some I do not. I don’t understand why
even the sample PNG file breaks it. I thought it was perhaps lack of alpha
channel but the sample doesn’t have have alpha, and if I add an alpha channel
it doesn’t help. Can anyone help me out, or provide a full set of working
textures I could put in as example?
I was able to get it to work by changing the dimensions of one of the working
PNG files and copy/pasting the sample texture into it. It seems like there’s
something about the sample PNG images that MSFS doesn’t like. I check the
properties of my working PNG image and compared them to the sample one. I’m
not a PNG expert but maybe Asobo can figure it out. I’m attaching the files
here: Interior1.png Interior1_broken.png Working PNG
file:
After a few hours of debugging I don’t think it’s an issue with the PNG file
itself, it’s that I was changing the PNG file without rebuilding. It seems
like sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
Hello @Marionettework Sorry for the delay, Do you still have this problem from
time to time? If so, I would be interested to see your GLTF / XML and your
source file. See [3) Provide Private

bug-or-crash.html) Thanks, Regards, Boris
