Similar MSFS 2020 issue: not an issue in 2024

Bug description: MSFS 2024 generates Runwayskidmarks and this is also the case for 2020 projects in the 24 comm folder leading to undesired visual results.

Generally speaking, they don’t even look too bad. However, they defnitiely don’t look good on top of custom skidmarks and completely alter the desired visuals. I am begging you to disable those generated skidmarks for 2020 packages in 2024, or at least give us some sort of way to disabled them.

In addition to that, they are also bugged at some airport causing more problems than they solve. They cause artifacts completely destroying the look of the runway and touchdown zone. I will attach some screenshots below of the artifacts I mean.

I would great, greatly, appreciate if you could disable them or give us the option to. Please.

Repro steps: Put 2020 package into 2024 com folder

I suspect the generated skidmark have an issue in itself because even at the default GAYA LOWS this artifact is visible as shown here:

It is always the same artifact so something must be wrong here.

I can confirm this happens for all of our packages as well. Default Asobo markings and decals all over the ground. They must have an option to be removed, we have our own custom textures.
The reasons skid markings must be custom are important:

  • The default ones are added for all runways. But in reality, some runways are NOT used for landing. So now we have insane skidmarks for runways that are never used for landings.
  • They are generic looking and don’t have the custom painted look that we added to ours.

Hello @MichaelWimma-RWProfiles @RaceMasterPC

Can you confirm that this is fixed in the last SU1 flighting update (1.3.13.0) please ?

Regards,
Boris

This could be the similar or the same to what I had reported here https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/t/excessive-autogenerated-dirt-wear-grunge/

This appears to be resolved with the latest update, thank you.
