Similar MSFS 2020 issue: insert url here if applicable
Bug description: Halfway through the dev alpha the team changed the scrub parameter to display a lot larger shrubs/trees. All 2020 versions of sceneries have unrealistic sized bushes/trees.

Sorry, I’ve read your report several times and I’m trying to figure out what’s correct and what’s not. It sounds like you’re trying to say that 2024 now shows shrubbery in 2020 sceneries as much larger than they are in 2020?
“unrealistic sized” isn’t really a good description of what’s wrong with the bushes. How are they supposed to understand what’s realistic, and how to fix it?
Wow, that would stink. In 2020, I used to find it was nearly impossible to make small scrub bushes… and now they’re even larger? Eek.
From what I take away, Milo is using the ScrubSmall biome type, which is now the same size as the regular Scrub biome type.

Another Biome related issue I found is that Scrub_Instead_Of_Trees got removed in 2024 and now defaults to what looks to be a scaled down version of the default vegetation in the area. It looks like in 2020 this Biome was the exact same as Scrub (same GUIDs), hence why it was likely removed, but because of that it’s now produces errors for all of those vegetation polys in 2024 and displays something not even close to what it was in 2020.
It would be nice if this could somehow fall back to just use Scrub for 2020 packages in 2024.
Luckily this is still easy enough to solve in the 2020 package as well. Just did a bulk search for Scrub_Instead_Of_Trees in the XML and replaced them all with Scrub. Will just require a 2020 package update to maintain forward compatibility.
Agreed. I really should have made the severity as Broken.
The solve require updating the packages at both Orbx and the marketplace. This really goes against the “2020 products will work in 2024”.
They were fine halfway through the Dev alpha and all of a sudden they were changed. Can we please change them back, Asobo.
