Simulator Model does not look like Blender Model

Hello,

Recently I’ve made a cruise ship (before you make comments - I understand this is a flight simulator and not a boat simulator. The issue I am having has nothing to do with me importing a boat) inside of Blender and have been having issues importing into the simulator.

What happens is the model inside of the sim looks nothing like it does in Blender. Example screenshots are attached.

Example 2

As you can see, the lifeboats are non existant and the top of the boat is a mess.

Has someone encountered a similar issue and, if possible, help point me in the correct direction?

Thank you!

A first guess is you didn’t apply transforms before exporting. Also make sure modifiers are applied in the export settings (the life boats are most likely an array)

(According to the blender outliner, something like this is not exactly an optimized model, it will have hundreds of drawcalls)

Based on your pictures _ I see you may have manipulated the Surface panel data, don’t touch the surface panel, and don’t touch the Shader nodes directly. All the export data is set in msfs_* variables. You MUST use the MSFS Material panel only.

You also must understand that the render in blender is an approximation and may not be exactly as the sim render.
